If you haven't know already, Rafael Nadal, the world no. 2 tennis player along with Roger Federer, Pete Sampras and Richard Gasquet will play in two separate exhibition match on the 20th and 22nd November 2007 in conjunction with the Malaysia Independence Tennis Festival.
So, what's on my mind?
My idea is to meet up with Rafael Nadal, have the best seat during his exhibition match and get to do a full coverage of the match that night.Or worse comes to worst, to catch Nadal on camera at KLIA or Stadium Melawati, watch from my RM83 seat and still do a (live) coverage on the match between him and Gasquet.
What am I going to do?
Create a buzz in the blogosphere about my campaign, the tennis match and get support. Then contact the organizer with my proposal plus the number of support gained.
Why need to create a buzz?
It's all about promoting tennis, Rafael Nadal and Visit Malaysia Year 2007.

Vamos VMY2007! All the best cos you HAVE to see Nadal upclose (ie RM83 tix is not good enough) as it is quite the experience!
The 1st time I saw Rafa in the flesh was during his practice session at the 2005 US Open (in tight spandex too - not the clamdiggers) and I nearly fainted!! :)
Which is my I am sitting alone at RM383 for Rafa, sad to say. No one else understands! ;)
I predicted Rafa wouldn't make it to Bangkok too. He sure is gonna get caught by Djoko if this goes on!
The Bangkok Open is not very accessible to the players (was there the last 2 years) and sadly, I doubt Malaysia will be any better. So you go girl! Hope it materialises!

Although I seldom watch tennis but when I first saw his game on tv, I think he's quite an explosive player. He play tennis like how the argentines play their football in a beautiful way.

I already paid for my mom's RM253 ticket for Federer so I can't afford another RM300++ for someone to accompany me to see Rafa - crazy prizes for tix! Bangkok is so cheap in comparison isn't it?
I actually went to Kooyong and the Oz Open this year so I am dead broke. I should get myself into a campaign too haha... this is getting way too expensive! :)

p/s: all that said, I really hope Rafa does come here. After Masters, they are normally burnt out. But this being an exhibtion, fingers crossed. If only they could think of something catchy for the players like playing on top of the Burj al-Arab, playing on a moving barge, in the sand dunes etc... Gimmicky, but at least something fun for the players.

I have to say, nothing beats the Grand Slam experience. A must go at least once! The weird thing is, out of all the Slam, the one I haven't been to is ironically the one where Rafa has the most success(ie RG). You know, I have this weird feeling that next year will be a funny year for Rafa. I hope he can still retain the RG crown!
